The Godfather II

EA has announced that the second installment of the popular crime/action game will be released in the US on February 24, 2009. I have waited for the second game to come out since the first time I ever played The Godfather on PS2. There was just something fun about receiving orders and carrying out “jobs” for Don Corleone. The Godfather II seeks to make players "act like a mobster, think like a don."

Microsoft is making Divx a sad panda

Microsoft has decided to go with some third-party vendors in an effort to support the latest versions of the Divx 7 standard that is available now.  Sony's PS3 is the only console currently on the market with first-party support of the Divx codec's.  With over 100 million certified Divx devices out in the wild Divx holds a large sway in the video codec market.  Hopefully Microsoft will get a compatible codec on the Xbox 360 sooner rather than later to appease all the fans of uPNP sharing that has become popular in the past year or two.  (Thanks to TechRadar for the story).
